If you’ve followed my blog semi-regularly, you’ve probably noticed I think a lot things are awesome—dealing with a bad economy, experiencing fear, and being disliked, for example. I’ve spent a lot of time seeing good in situations, but I’ve forgotten to acknowledge the most awesome part of writing this blog: getting the chance to know, appreciate, and learn from you.
You are all amazing. You make a real difference in the world through your blogs, businesses, and causes, and I am forever changed for knowing you. Here are all the ways you impress and inspire me:

You’ve been brainstorming all day. Maybe you’re writing a grant proposal, creating new features for a website, or building a marketing strategy. Whatever it is, you’ve been looking at it for so long the words all mesh together. Your mind doesn’t want to function anymore, let alone come up with innovative thoughts. As you play with different ideas—shuffling the words around your head like one of those jumbled picture puzzles—it all seems more confusing. Was there ever a worthwhile seed in this chaos? Did you think your way too far from your initial stroke of genius? Time is passing, the pressure’s on, and you have to produce something amazing or risk jeopardizing your reputation.
But you’re stuck. And the more you fight it, the more stuck you get. You probably want some suggestions to get the creative juices flowing; resist the urge to Google attack the issue. More words won’t make sense of the tag cloud in your head, especially while you’re feeling pressured and scattered. Luckily, there are some benefits to being stuck—and indulging them just may push you through. (more…)
