by Lori Deschene
It’s been quite a while since I’ve written, and you may wonder where in the world I’ve been.
That question has a 3-part answer, so here goes:
1. I put a lot of time into tinybuddha.com. If you haven’t followed me there, you may not realize how often I write and edit for that site. Some of my recent posts include:
- 10 Ways to Be the Person You Wanted to Be as a Kid
- 50 Peaceful Things
- 10 Happiness Tips for People Who Have Been Hurt
- 10 Ways to Have Peaceful, Loving Relationships
You can find my posts there twice a week. If you’d like to submit a guest post, you can read more about that here.
2. I am writing a book. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to write a book about making your dreams come true, and I have been working consistently since then. I’ve written 35,000 words so far, and I am 2/3 the way finished with the first draft. At some point in 2010, it will be available as an ebook, and possibly in print and audio formats, as well.
3. I am planning to take this site down in the near future. A friend of mine is designing a new site for me at lorideschene.com where I will write blogs of a more personal nature. (It’s taken a lot longer than I expected). I’ve been writing lengthy articles for a long time now; and while I love it, I’m excited to have a place to explore life as it affects me personally.
I feel I owe you, my readers, an apology for not transitioning away from this blog more smoothly. I have a list of excuses, but none of them matter. What matters is that I appreciate you, and I hope to make a difference with my writing in the future–my tinybuddha posts, my book(s) and maybe even the random musing I post on my new blog.
Happy Monday friends =)
Want an update when I launch lorideschene.com? Send me an email at lorideschene @ gmail and I will let you know when it’s live. Want to subscribe to tinybuddha.com? Pop on over–you’ll see it on the right. Want to follow me on Twitter? I’m at @lori_deschene.

No way unsubscribe no way! Congrats on your book. If I can help you get it out there in anyway when you’re finished let me know. I find you amazing and your smart as well to prioritize.
Unsubscribe! Oy, people-of-short-sightedness, what is your problem? Anyway, congratulations, Lori! Go forth, after big adventures that are marvelous for you. We will be happy to read whatever you write, wherever you happen to write it.

Thank you Tess! I appreciate the offer of support, and I will be happy to take you up on that when I am ready to move forward with my book.
And thank you also Shea! I hope everything is going well in your world. =)
This post is more proof that simply because a blogger “appears” not to be blogging, this doesn’t mean that “work” isn’t going on. You have had a rich and creative full plate in the past few months, and all of the opportunities before you sound incredibly exciting. I will try to follow you wherever you go and am excited to see what greater things open up for you on this path of life.
Congratulations, Lori!
